Computer Shopping

When we are shopping for a computer you need to think about all the parts you might need to buy.

Heres a list to get you started.

Case - Must fit with power supply, and motherboard
Power Supply -Must fit case,
Motherboard- Processor sockets must match (eg 775,776), How many RAM slots, what type? (DDR,DDR2,DDR3)
RAM -must match motherboard
Processor- Sockets must match motherboard
Processor - cooling - 1 size fits most
Video Card - PCI express, check if it needs its own power supply. Some people build computers with 2 power supplies.
Hard drives- Most people use at least 2. They are either SATA or IDE, SATA is the more modern of the two.
CDR/DVD/DVDRw - most are pretty standard connections
Keyboard
Mouse
Monitor (or 2)
Additional Fans
Lighting
Media Readers
Lots of other fun stuff

    heyy mr. vaughan since were doing computers in class and stuff i was wondering if you could help me with something?… my computer screen is a lcd like the ones at school and i was wondering how you or even if you can clean the monitor to get like fingerprints and marks off it without damaging the monitor could you plz write back on my wall or on anything on my blog and tell me if i could clean it or not. thanks!
