What is Adsense Arbitrage and how does it work?
Can you actually make money on it?
For most people Adsense Arbitrage is about being a go between for different ads on the net. Its about buying ads for niche less popular keywords for cheap and then taking the customers to a page about a more popular keywords where the ads displayed with adsense are more expensive. Now not everyone who makes it to your page clicks on the higher priced ads but efforts are made to increase the click through rates of your ads (CTR - (impressions/ number of clicks) The number of clicks as a percentage of the number of times your ads are displayed)
I’m going to outline the steps to start your own web page and use it for adsense arbitrage. I know there are people online who are successful with this process however I have been trying it with not much results to this point. I’d love to hear feedback on what other techniques that are working for people.
Steps
1. Get a domain name and hosting. Easy enough to do. It will cost you about 5-15 dollars a month with many comparable companies. My advice is to not pay for the full annual/ 3 year contract until you’ve been with a company for a while.
2. Install wordpress on the website. You can use other systems if you prefer or use a pre existing template the point is you want it to be quick and easy. Install a theme that will work well for displaying ads.
3. Find an article that talks about something everyone might be interested in that focuses on topics that might generate higher demand ads. There are ways to test which ads will be more expensive than others you just have to search for the ones that are the most expensive to bid on from within google adsenses traffic estimator. You want to find and article that is defined to be Keyword Dense with the higher priced keywords so that google knows which ads to display when the page loads.
4. Put the adsense ads in prime view on your website. Now you don’t necessairaly have to display lots of ads just a few well placed ones. This is because the highest priced ads are in position 1-3 on google and not 6-8.
By now you’ve got a website that is displaying ads but is really not getting any traffic to your site.
5. What you have to do now is drive traffic to your site using the cheapest related words you can find. If your topic is computers you might try smaller niche areas of computers to advertise. (don’t try computers everyone already is) Niche’s for computers might be specific computers or parts of comptuers that are cheaper then the overall computers area.
It will take some time to figure out a good niche to be in and there will always be new ones popping up that people might not have thought of. Once you have established a niche that consistently makes more money then it costs to advertise consider increasing your investment in that area and seeking out more niches to diversiy your portfolio of ads.
This outline describes theories and ideas of what I have heard and read of other people doing. I will be testing it out myself over the next few months. It does take time to set up systems of this nature however once they are profitable it is much easier to replicate. Check back to see updates of my progress.
