istockphoto

nbsp;istockphoto.com is a site for photographers, web developers and design professionals. Users post illustrations, photos, flash work, and videos. Proceeds from all sales are divided between the content creator and the site.

This method of making money will be starting a case study soon, this is just a place holder to get you to start thinking about it or try it out for yourself.

Do you have high quality images of you and your friends? Get the waivers signed then upload till your hearts content. Then check back to see how they’re selling.

Case Study Started:

Step one was to register. After registering for the site I needed to update my profile. They did allow me to include a link to my website which should eventually count as an extra inbound link for google (more on how this works later). The one thing that puzzled me was their need for a scan of a valid ID, I found this weird as they’re a photo site why would they need my passport or drivers license. Regardless after they walk you through a brief training on the type of photos they are looking for they making you pass a test to prove you’ve just read the tutorial. After that they make you upload 3 sample images of your work to in order to make sure you are meeting their quality standards. From here they said it will be about a 2 week wait until my account is approved.

More updates once account is approved.
